Insomnia is one of the more common symptoms of stress and depression. While clients come to my office with a wide range of symptoms to eliminate, most of them have a sleep disturbance in addition to the symptom they have come to eliminate. Whether you have had a hard time falling asleep, or you fall asleep promptly and then awaken later and are unable to fall asleep again, you have insomnia.
In order to overcome your insomnia, you have to follow all of these instruction. The first step is you should have a warm beverage. It can keep you warm and feel relax. Please, do not consume coffee or tea. It is contains caffein which is make you hard to fall asleep. You have to eliminate consuming it.
Take a warm bath, slightly warmer than body temperature, soak and relax for 20 minutes or so. It is important to note that a shower just won't make you feel relax. When your body is clean and fresh you will feel comfort to go bed, then you will fall asleep as soon as you put your back to bed.
The last step is you have to discontinue thoughts of problems that you have, or what needs to be done tomorrow. If you are worried about forgetting what you have to do tomorrow, write it down. Stay away from stimulating thoughts that will disturb your mind and make you hard to fall asleep.
By following the simple steps explained above, you can overcome your insomnia without consuming sleeping pills which is make you addicted. As an result, you will get your time to sleep normally.
